Finance, Investments etc?
Sunday, January 31st, 2010
Hi I am currently a Engineering Informatics student 20 years old living in Singapore.
Interested in the world of Investments, Stock tradings and also Assets management activities. I know that my current Engineering Informatics subject is nothing related to finance, but I am considering to pursue a Real Estate Management Degree after I graduate.
However, I can say that I seriously have no background of any Finance knowledge up till now and I’m worried that I will suffer when I get to university. And needless to say, the end of my plan for having a finance sector career. Am I on the right path?
Any thoughts, suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated especially those who have lots of experience in the financial sector.
There are lots of investment guides at the library. And The Motley Fool publishes advice at www.fool.com. They write columns for newspapers about investing.
Buy one stock for $100 so you can start understanding investments..

Sunday, January 31st, 2010
Okay so my school was selling computers(towers) for $10 and i bought one and the only thing i need was ram, so just today i went out and bought DDR1 RAM and put it into the computer, after that i closed it ( and before i continue i should include that this is a dell optiplex series GX260) and plugged the AV power cable in, plugged it into an outlet, and turned it on. So i connect my keyboard, mouse, and Monitor to it, and im pretty happy its working well. Then on my moniter it say strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility, well this is where i need help, i am clueless where to go from here and the only other information i can give is what is under setup utility::

My guess is that the school IT person wiped the hard drive so there is probably no operating system on the computer??? If this is true ??? then you will need to get an os and burn it as a bootable disk (MAKE sure your bios is set to run from cd first)
may I suggest Linux mint or something like that…
linux mint can be downloaded here:
http://www.linuxmint.com/download.php
a free iso burner can be downloaded here

good luck
Hope this helps..

A great opportunity for both of us is just an interview away
After coming out of the military I have set my sights towards a future in a career with endless opportunities. I’m looking for a company that is highly organized and not only focused on its goals but also its employees, knowing that through them their company will flourish. I am looking for a position in a competitive area that puts my naturally competitive nature to good use. I am seeking employment with a fast paced and forward moving company, one that will give me the pride of knowing I was an integral part of their success. I have become a professional at working in groups, guiding and leading personnel and taking orders and objectives by supervision and accomplishing them. Given the opportunities your company has to offer I am completely confident that I will become a valuable asset and in return I will also benefit from the experience. An interview would be not only beneficial to me but also advantageous to the company.

You have alot of problems with your resume.
1.) You have employment gaps of several months. For example..What did you do between 08/2004-09/2005? You need to explain every gap.
2/) You do not stay in a job very long. Any hiring manager will see this and wonder how many weeks or months you will stay in the job.
3.) Accent your Education above your work record. You may want to eliminate jobs such as Taco Bell from the resume.
Overall, the resume shows you are going down in the world, not up.
